This session helps you address issues as they first arise and before they escalate. The session will consist of group discussions on the concept of interpersonal boundaries in the supervisory relationship, the supervisor’s role in assisting as opposed to enabling employees, and examining the balance between the role of the supervisor and the employee in a performance problem. The class will include role plays as a means of empowering the supervisor to approach situations that may be causing them some anxiety and that they may be avoiding. Participants will be asked to arrive at the class with a personnel problem in mind that they can use to apply the principles discussed in the class; however, they will not be sharing the case in the interest of confidentiality
